The Saxxy was awarded to winners of the Annual Saxxy Awards, a filmmaking contest hosted by Valve. Saxxys were bestowed upon all contributors in winning entries created by more than one player.
There are around 179 known instances of this item, though a couple have been deleted out of protest in the past.
