Items with glitched Loaner Tags are those obtained through trade-ups between the introduction of trade-ups on August 27, 2015, and the launch of Scream Fortress 2015 on October 28, 2015. A change in item origins caused trade-up items to be mistakenly tagged with the Loaner tag, and although affected items remained tradable and craftable, the glitch was only noticeable after the Tough Break Update, when the Loaner Program was introduced.

There are many known instances of this item, and they are very inexpensive and easy to find.
